The snow backdrop!!!!! or is it??????

  Why's the pic here? Well, coz of the story I gotta tell: We had parked at a gas station enroute to Atlanta and I was lookin' around from behind my camera, when I spotted this branch which seemed set against a snow-capped mountain. I set the camera aside and realize it's cumulus (????? or is it cirrus ??????) in the backdrop!:) :)  

Abandoned!

The abandoned railway station we chanced upon when we lost our way through Virginia, en route to Tennessee. The place was simply called "Rural Retreat" :) We spotted the station and the rail line in a residential neighborhood and the whole place had this old, abandoned feel to it with unkempt barns, a small pond and a stray dog wandering about.

The Smith Mountain Lake at Virginia : the lake was serene,almost mute, far from the city's garish neon glitz (almost an hr drive from the nearest town), the pastoral settings with residents going about their regular chores: when you live with such beauty around you all year (life) long,i guess, it doesn't strike u as enchanting as it was to me,a visitor. The world can wait, and it did! :)

Now that I am back from the trip and still holding the memories tight : I think it 's not a bad idea if I share a few snapshots of the trip here on the blogosphere!

Was walking to school when I chanced to look down and spotted these bright, tiny, li'l things enjoying the delicate Spring warmth. Pretty, aren't they??? :)

Two cents' worth!

Well, no pretensions! This was a deliberate attempt to create that nostalgic feeling say Raymond's "The Complete Man" ads bring :) Or the Hallmark cards! Got my paperweights, dropped them on a bed of fallen leaves and there I had, my own "two cents' worth" moment! :)
