New beginnings

Long shadows

It's been a whirlwind of a life of late. And most of it has been good :) My husband and I have found ourselves a common employer. Didn't I tell ya that we are practically inseparable :) Well not really, though we are working for the same organization, our offices are like 15 miles apart. I'm certain my husband mumbles "Thank God for small mercies" to that!!!!! We call snow-clad Mid-west (Illinois to be precise) home now.....And as I work towards settling down, setting up our apartment and getting comfortable at the workplace with new faces and names around moi, here are a coupla images from my immediate surroundings. A vast change from the sun-drenched Florida, aren't they :) These mark my two years here on blogdom. Viva blogging :)

Until we meet again.

We only part to meet again.

This one's for a friend who left for a home way too far, way too soon.

"Shapes and silhouettes lie within it's design
This pure simple fluff that floats on by
and the wind will carry it on it's way
perhaps... it'll come back someday"

Of interviews and cheery red doors :)

Trinity Episcopal Church, Williamsport

It was the town of Williamsport that we were visiting in North-central Pennsylvania. Beautiful town, lovelier people. But of all the reasons on earth, I was there for an interview. Ha! All the while they were interviewing me, I was champing at the bit to hit outdoors and savor the crisp nip in the air. It was too pretty a day to stay indoors and the cheery red doors of a nearby church that I had spotted on my way for the interview, were beckoning moi. Thankfully, they did let us off early :)

"A river runs thro' it"

A river runs through it

This week we indulged in a bit of traveling. Traveling a two-lane America along the Susquehanna river in Pennsylvania. A beautiful day spent amidst the Appalachian mountains. Can you hear my heart singing? :)
