wooohooo! first here! Okay...first of all, thats such a...mmm...mmm...so noir-noir snap! :D You are getting terribly pro here Moi! Oh! btw, Noir is not really not my types...more into History/war/fantasy kinda flicx..and a bit of romance ;)
Hmmm Moi, What shall I say here, I hink I have seen the movie (not sure) so I cannot say me meaning here, about your question " dod you like the dark side of reel life" , well anyone has some dark days, sad days, days of bad luck, I believe that even the 'Dark is life', like birth and dead are also a part of my life,so yes on a special way, I can say that "looking back at the dark side's of my life" can give me joy now, but at the moment there, you'll better not in my surrounding...
Great hand and shadow.

Yes, love them! From the original Asphalt Jungle to the neo-noir Chinatown to the recent Sin City. But I'm all alone watching them...my DH insists there is enough misery in real life...
Used to see lots of them in the late sixties and early seventies; no longer now... But your picture looks great: spooky! Have a great weekend, full of nice DVDs... ;))
Terrific emotion picture Moi. I do think the dark side of "reel" life can be interesting and gripping but too much isn't uplifting and tends to weigh me down. Hope all is well in Chicago. Its my second favorite city to visit. The photo ops. are huge. Just wait until the spring tulips bloom on the Miracle Mile part of Michigan Ave. Its the most awesome display I ever saw.
Oh you're a creative girl :) I prefer upbeat films but it's good to see the other side occasionally. There's been some good ones. I hope you're finding your new location fascinating :)
I learned to appreciate film noir when working through the AFI Top 100 films list. Double Indemnity was probably my favorite. Just watched a modern noir a week or so ago - L.A. Confidential.
Welcome to our kittydom. We used to be shelter cats in our past lives but now we have a happy home and we think that together we can make this planet a no-kill haven for all our fur friends. Come, join us in our cause and help us spread the word.

Ciao Moi, the noir is not my kind, but your composition is very pleasant.
Oooh! That's so spooky!! You are scaring us! That's a great photo though, very creative!
And noir films set in Chicago might even become your specialty, Moi. How are you liking it there?

Hands up if you agree.
Very creative shot, Moi.
Film noir is my favorite genre. I think "Out of the Past" is one of the best & "The Naked City." And many more :-)

You held it at an angle - that is what professionals do! ;]
Wow...eerie and beautiful at the same time. Nice hands, though...seriously. B-) Cheers - {H}
I love Double Indemnity and The Asphalt Jungle, both mentioned already.
I like this photo a lot! I like the shape of your (?) fingers (very English Patient), and the weave of the fabric. Unique and memorable image. Cool!
That truly is a scary image. If I look at it too long, I may have nightmares!!!!
Good job.
okay... i have to admit that i have no idea what film noir is. but i can guess by the post and image... love it!
I don't know about film noir, but I like the way you set this shot up. Great effect.
Hey, Moi. Sorry I've been so remiss in my visiting lately.
I like this, though I don't think I've ever seen an actual movie in the noir category.

Nice shot - lots of mystery to it.
