New beginnings

Long shadows

It's been a whirlwind of a life of late. And most of it has been good :) My husband and I have found ourselves a common employer. Didn't I tell ya that we are practically inseparable :) Well not really, though we are working for the same organization, our offices are like 15 miles apart. I'm certain my husband mumbles "Thank God for small mercies" to that!!!!! We call snow-clad Mid-west (Illinois to be precise) home now.....And as I work towards settling down, setting up our apartment and getting comfortable at the workplace with new faces and names around moi, here are a coupla images from my immediate surroundings. A vast change from the sun-drenched Florida, aren't they :) These mark my two years here on blogdom. Viva blogging :)

What I love about these photos in this post is how they show such delicate things in nature that have miraculously withstood the tests of nature. Reminds me of you.

Welcome to winter. :)

Viva!!! Awesome, congratulations! What a lovely shade, so much bigger and stronger than the tiny leaf standing alone on beautiful cold snow... Is the snow thicker there, it looks like it has a different granulosity, just curious.
