Warm winters

Fireplace

Winter's far from over in these parts.....but I don't mind it. Not yet. A warming log in the fireplace and cuddly blanket on the bed...a husband who cracks a joke a minute...and books and movies to keep company. Winters are not so bad after all :)

Ash : sending tons of warm hugs your way :)

GMG: Isn't it Khalil Gibran who said that:
"In every winter's heart
There is a quivering spring
And behind the veil of each night
There is a smiling dawn" :)

Anna : haha!

Hi Moi,
Looks like you have moved just so you can get some shots from a different place.
I'm quite pleased most of winter seems to be behind us.Like your husband I have been cracking jokes, but sadly my wife doesn't appreciate all them, I think I'm hilarious though...lol

Cheers Mark

Well, you only experienced PART of it, right? :)

I am so ready for spring, as you know. And I LOVE winter. This has been a true Midwestern one, so in a way I don't have any complaints.

I really love open fires - but central heating is so convenient.

That's cozy and I love cozy. Winter is especially good for making one enjoy cozy moments, alone or in company.

Winters aren't so bad when you have your Honey to snuggle. Love the fire and the texture of the burning log.

The screen really adds to this shot, though I suspect it would have been spectacular even without it.

You have such a way of infusing 'feeling' into your photos! I'm warm just looking at this beautiful fireplace. Winter can certainly offer cozy moments. I'm glad you're enjoying them :) I enjoy the quiet, cozy times too, but I long to go outside and feel the warm sun on my shoulders again. Soon!
