The Pumpkin Day and Jack-O-Lanterns!

I dig warm colours and orange's one of them...........so tho' i have no real fascination for pumpkins, i somehow always end up clicking them for that bout of colour they add even to the dullest of the surroundings.........
Hope u have a happy and safe Halloween!!! :)

Neat! I like your second picture especially. The doorway and fence look elegant in its simplicity. And the pumpkins provide a cheery element to picture.

Hi, I found your blog through Joel Renyolds. Nice composition. the pumpkins add just the right splash of color.
I will be back.

I love the shot from a distance...with the 'spooky' doorway and everything:)

Hey M

By "long exposure", I mean the amount of time the shutter is open - allowing light to come into the camera. So, for those water shots on my blog, I would use a shutter speed of anywhere between 1-30 seconds (the longer the shutter is open, the more "blurred" the water looks. Just make sure that you use a tripod or rest your camera on something so your camera doesn't move while it's taking the picture. Does that help? I hope so!

Very good contrast, the bright orange with the dark door tones is very good!

The top one is the one you want to keep. The bottom one just helps visualise the environment.
