"If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies" :)

peoria 1 "Let it snow!"

I never thought that my stay in this part of the world would be this short...........I did not come down with plans to settle down here but this has to be the shortest-lived home for me ever.........About a year back we came to the snow-laden, bone-chilling Midwest, to an unassuming town that I had not heard of before. My biggest excitement was that it was close enough to Chicago to be able to visit my childhood friend on weekends, and the fact that our brand new jobs would enable us to afford small luxuries that our student pay-checks could not. On the professional front, I was ready to enjoy any work that came my way.......I had my initial share of hiccups and disappointments but eventually I think I can say that it all came around. I did learn some, if not as much as I wanted to.........Life outside work was even more fun :) Every little flicker of change that changing seasons brought lifted my spirits.......some of the friendships I forged here will last me a lifetime, if not longer........and the trips we made to some far-flung corners and others next door are still fresh in my mind.........I just went through the entire gamut of images I have amassed here.......am sharing a precious few......before I move on to the new place for newer adventures in a coupla weeks.

peoria 3 "March into spring"

peoria 2 "Wild Summer"

peoria4 "A taste of summer"

peoria5 "The evening air was warm, the northeast wind soft"

peoria7 "Catch a whiff of fall in the air"

peoria 6 "Nature’s own fireworks"

peoria8 "Back to where it all started from" :)

I completely understand what you're going through! I've done it more times than I want to think about. *L*

I'm moving at the end of the month, but this time, it's not a change of provinces, or even a change of cities. Just a few blocks away. Will it be permanent? Who knows. Things have a habit of changing unexpectedly, don't they?

Best of luck with your new surroundings. What is it that keep you moving? Your photos are lovely as always. That icy leaf shot is wonderful.

AND if there were no butterflies, there would be no caterpillars!

Now can you please push your bum and restart 'On a slant'

Oh my, Moi! You haven't mentioned where you're moving TO but I'm kinda in the same place right now, with our house on the market. Once it sells, I, too, will be moving on. Life simply will not stand still, will it! And as always, your spirit is beautiful and your images are fabulous! I wish you nothing but the best.

You're moving?? Closer to KY by any chance?? LOL

As usual, simple amazing shots. I would love to do a photowalk with you.

I have moved seven times since 1997....it is finally starting to get easier.

You stuck with me during my move with all of your encouraging words. I hope I can do the same for you. Where is your next place? I don't want to ever move again. Hope this will be fulfilling for you and your Hubby.

Oh Moi, moving again already? Are you happy about that, or not? I'm very curious about where you're going.
I hope it'll be a smooth transition for you both, although moving is never easy in my humble opinion.
Your photos are superb, as usual. You are a very clever girl! :)
I love them all, but that red leaf, curled like that, is so beautiful! And the icy leaves....wonderful. Every time we had beautiful icy scenes to photograph I was off to work with no time to spare. I'm sure you know the feeling. Oh well, winter's not quite over yet ;)
Wishing you the very best in your newest adventure. xox
