"There are two kinds of light--the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures."- James Thurber
An abstract image shot at my favorite time of the day. Me and my husband were back from school (yes we are still struggling our way thro' books, exams, semesters and other scholarly demands of school life), relaxing now that we are done with the Spring semester..........when lying on our couch, i shot this image of fading sun from behind the chair that lay between me and the patio window.
On this day today, 7 years back, we got around to being together (we have been married for 4 months now and have a long way to go) and no we haven't felt the seven year itch yet :) Here's to all that we share and will continue to.
Have a great weekend, all :)

Your photo is simply splendid! The warm and sensuali colors are my preferred. :)
So warm Moi....I really like this one. Good eye.
Moi, I really adore your pictures. The soft, warm light is just great. I am waiting for other great shots.
Seda
the shadow does straighten up a few curves.
Beautiful image, love it. Great quote too.
Mr J : thank u so much :)
Nazzareno : thank u ..coming from an Italian, I should not be surprised that warm and sensual colors are your preferred ones :)
Anna : Thank u :)
Seda: Thank U and i love urs.....I was showing ur blog to a Turkish colleague here..He misses home and was mighty glad to see pics from Istanbul...:)
Sarad : Let me explain the pic...spoils the mystery and abstractness of the whole pic...but let me : the curve are those of the chair...the st lines are those of the patio window and the bottom right hand corner noise in the pic is from the patio door. so lots of merging there :DDDDD
Ash : thank u and i loved the quote too :)
"My husband and me". To be politically and gramatically correct unless the naari mukti andolan has gotten on to you :)
Very professional pic!!
kanishka : haha.....that's all that ur eyes read in all those words out there :DDD
and i really don't know what to make of that "very professional pic" comment ..a compliment? a derogatory remark saying that i'm beginning to play to the gallery????? pray explain see! u r not the only narcissist on the block...:DDDD
This photo really has a "feel" to it. You can feel the time of day, the hush and gentleness of it.
Waldo...i am glad u could...i love that part of the day.....when sun lingers on to say its goodbyes......
nice one!
sharad
I love your photo's. Best of luck to you and may you two have many years togehter. This year we celebrate number 25. It goes by fast, enjoy each other.
love that quote, moi....so true...so true...
and i also love early evening and early morning shadows and light...ther IS that gentleness and quiet about them. you captured it well.
my husband and i are coming up on our 7 year marital anniversary, but dated for two years before that..... so i guess it's almost 9 years all together. congratulations on both your 7 year milestone and your end of semester. one of these days i'll finish my schooling. i got pregnant my junior year of college and still have one year to go. but we have no universities nearby. someday....... :)
Sharad : thanx :)
Greg : welcome here and thank u so much for the wishes....a love that lasts that long must be beautiful ...:)
BMM: we dated for more than 6 yrs before we tied the knot this Dec.....wish you two a lifetime of togetherness...and school can be taxing with a young family around.......do it at ur own pace...:)
The colour here is wonderful. I really like this one.
I bet you'll make it through this seventh year in wonderful form, Moi. If you haven't felt the itch by now, it's likely this love has soothed it completely.
Enjoy your break.
PP : thank u :)
Annie : hoping to enjoy the teeny-weeny break that we have before next sem begins:)
Very warm picture, and aptly titled.
And yes, 4 months and sillions more to go. God bless you both.
here's the you two!!!
say how many sunrise pics do you have compared to the sunset ones?????
and *to on the previous comment...
Your pictures are all wonderful! Yes, the light here is....I'm having trouble finding the words...peaceful, serene, golden. Gorgeous!
Umm..it just meant it is a professional pic. I am making you tear your hair out of curiousity, right?? :DD
Anyway, to lessen your anxiety, it meant that the pic looked like those I have seen in magazines. So if I have seen something like this in print, it must be pretty good.
I love the images that you are capturing, it is so important to record social history and blogs are a good way of showing it as most images would sit in a computer never to be seen again.
Cheers Mark
jas: thank u and i proclaim my love for u again..love u!!! :)
kerri : thank u so much :)
kunal : hehe....none!!!! zilch!!! nada!! not even one..:DDDD

Bathe in that warm glow, Moi, don't let it turn obscure...
(Kanishka, you're wrong - it should be "my husband and I" ;-)
This one fooled me. I thought that was an eye in the lower right corner until I read your explanation. I love the color and simple lines.
Mark : why not??? :)
still: u too :)
Isabella : i will...and kanishka needs to be educated :DDD ...i myself can do with some lessons...:)
JAM :thank u ....:)
