Midwest as I had imagined it :)

Midwest....

Long before I stepped here, I had imagined Midwest as in this image. It took some time for weather to offer this glimpse and confirm it for moi :) I know there's more to the "middle" America and I am only beginning to explore it. And loving it too.

Sometimes when I think of Seattle and how different our lives and the surroundings would/may have been, I take a li'l help from Douglas Adams and I know "I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be." No regrets, whatsoever!!! :)

This is just gorgeous! I lovve the simplicity and the colors. This is what I have always imaged the midwest to be, too. Nicely seen.

Love that quote. It says how I feel too. Moi, sometime I would love to see that part of the country. Door County has always fascinated me and I would love to see it in person.
I think we are destined to meet sometime. It would be so much fun.
This picture is lovely. You have captured the essence of the midwest perfectly.
I haven't posted anything new. We are helping our friends move into their new home and time isn't my own right now.

I've been driving to and from work every day these last weeks loving our gold fields, and when it's sunny, skies like this. I really love your perspective here, accentuating the flatness, which I've come to appreciate, although I didn't as a child after seeing my first mountains in European slides. Perfect, Moi. [big smile]

Wow, that's lovely! That does look like a classic mid-west shot. The sky is gorgeous and I like how you have the barn off center. It makes the photo much more interesting. Great shot!
