From my "corn-y" corner of the world :DDD

Corn field 1

My pastoral romance with Mid-west continues.
Aren't you tempted to sing along with me........ :)

"There's a bright golden haze on the meadow,
The corn is as high as an elephant's eye,
An' it looks like it's climbin' clear up to the sky."

Erm... dont know the song. But I love the photos!
Especially the second one (seared retinas and all). You wanna be careful about shooting directly into the sun like that though. I fried the shutter curtains in a 35mm that way once. T'was a sad day...

I think there is a secret farm-girl lurking in Moi. Terrific shots of a beautiful area. I love your composition and silhouettes.

Oh Moi, I really wish I could send you some of our yummy grapes and lip smacking peaches too.

I love to visit your site........it takes me home. I have lived in Texas now 20 plus years, but Central Illinois is still home! I always look forward to my visits there. Two more weeks and I'm there!

I can't see any of the photos....I just have the stupid little white box with the x in them....must be my awful server or something :(

It's great to hear from you again! I just looked through your photos and they are AMAZING! You are becoming better and better with every shot!

I took a few months off from blogging because of some personal issues, but yes, J and I packed up and moved to Philadelphia! The funny thing too is that it was between Philly and SEATTLE! In the end, Philly was a better fit.

So you are in Chicago now? Funny how we both ended up leaving Florida this year. I am loving this weather though. Oh, and also that I am missing Hurricane Fay right now ;)

Hi moi! Yes, I'm back to blogging. I'm glad to catch up on your lovely photos. The one of the barn is amazing. You really have an eye for the unusual perspectives.

Hey, I was singing that same song on a blog post recently! LOL
We're having the best corn year that we can remember...giving sweet corn away right, left and center. All our friends love us at the moment, ha ha :)
There's even enough for the raccoons! And the field corn is definitely as high as an elephant's eye! :)
That light is spectacular! You're the light queen :)
