And the ride begins........

Harley- Serial Number One

Wisconsin means different things to us (Arka and I). While I can never get enough of its farm scene (it's the Dairy state after all and also the largest cranberry producer in the country, in case you didn't know ;D), Arka loves the energy of university town Madison and Milwaukee to my "gearhead" husband is synonymous with Harleys. He has grown up on WW II movies so we had to pay our homage to the recently opened Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, which we finally did last weekend. I had no idea that I'd enjoy the visit as much as I did.........I could not get enough of the old heritage models and ended up with a gazillion images to share ..... I don't think you'll see the end of Harley series here for a long time :)

Beautiful shots, Moi. The clarity of the bikes jumping out from the background is great - I love the sepia (& I normally don't!).
I grew up on WWII movies also, lol, you captured it beautifully.

Figured that about the cranberries because the ones in the supermarket here are from Wisconsin!

Thank you for the (barrage of :-) comments on my blog recently! I missed your visits and input. As for the John Deere question, I don't know. There are some items by them around here, but it doesn't seem to be a huge market share.

Well, lets try this for the third time. Don't know why I'm having trouble but my computer went berserk yesterday so go figure. As I said before, I like the monochrome technique for the vintage shots. It works and it must have been fun seeing all the Harleys.

are those the true colors or a sepia....either way, they are gorgeous! I am talking that you these should be in a Harley ad! I love that you can find such intersting shots in the every day things.

Oh MY God...are these pictures stunning. They have a spirit about them that just reaches out and grabs you. If this is all you choose to share for the next umpteen weeks, I'm good with that, as I could never tire of perspectives like these.

This is why I love monochrome.

I hate to hijack your comments section..but to answer your questions: Shredding carrots is not hard at all. I just used a cheese grater and hoped I didn't scrape my knuckles! I let the kids use a cheese grater (like the ones at Olive Garden).
