"There's a certain Slant of light,
Winter Afternoons --
That oppresses, like the Heft
Of Cathedral Tunes --

When it comes, the Landscape listens --
Shadows -- hold their breath --
When it goes, 'tis like the Distance
On the look of Death --" Emily Dickinson

Hmm, can't say I agree with Emily here, because your images, and the winter light, breathe life into me.
You did wonderful things with these photos. The lines in the first one weave the eye through the frame...so beautiful. And the one of the dock...all the horizontal lines work!
what a beautiful place.
in front of so much beauty it is easier to remain without words and to admire...
Oh Moi....these are GORGEOUS!!
And I LOVE Emily's poem!
Beautiful photos Moi. They make me want to just breathe deeply and spend some time enjoying the scenery.
That's one place i have never been and sure would love to see it for myself.
You know, I could almost feel the cutting wind .... very powerful snaps!!!
Me again, to say you've been awarded!!!
Oh that yellow sky is amazing! I've been to parts of Wisconsin (The Dells) and know it to be a beautiful place. Your photography always captures the best of nature.
Back when I was married and our kids were still young, Moi, we lived in Madison, WI. Door County is one of Wisconsin's most beautiful spots. So glad you could visit there...and show us these soulful images!
Beautiful, Moi.
As someone who has always lived "up North" you really captured that warm glow of winter light that holds no warmth.
That first shot is absolutely gorgeous. Looks cold!
That bottom one is my favorite.
Beautiful! It's so peaceful!
Very pretty and almost golden nature,
Greetings from JoAnn's D Eyes /Holland
