"A river runs thro' it"

A river runs through it

This week we indulged in a bit of traveling. Traveling a two-lane America along the Susquehanna river in Pennsylvania. A beautiful day spent amidst the Appalachian mountains. Can you hear my heart singing? :)

Lycoming County, PA

Yes I can, all the way from MI. And mine is singing with you!

Oh, the colors of the river and the bare trees and mountains are lovely! Gorgeous composition.

Pennsylvania? What were you doing there, getting away from the harsh Florida winter?
Seeing the Susquehanna brought me back good memories. In the 80s, I lived in Endicott, NY, along the Susquehanna, and I loved to travel the backroads...

That river is so blue! You weren't so far from us! The Susquehanna runs through NY too.
You should see it in the summer!!
I knew Geraldo lived in the US previously, but didn't know he was so close to us (just over an hour south of us)!

Those views would encourage me to break out in song - but I'd probably sing 'Oh What a Beautiful Morning, Oh What a Beautiful Day" from Oklahoma. Wrong!

A river I cross from time to time. You captured it quite well. Enjoyed your blog, came here via Liquid Illusion.

Beautiful photos, Moi! It is not so hilly right here where I live, but I am less than a mile from the Susquehanna. I drive across it on my commute; it is hands down one of my favorite rivers :)

I am glad you enjoyed your time here!

Oh, how beautiful. The college I went to in Pennsylvania is called Susquehanna University, so I was excited to see a picture of the Susquehanna River in your post today. That's a lovely shot!

I was delighted to see this beautiful landscape photograph. It makes me think of a few people I know of that worked the land long ago. Distant kin of mine - and it shows me they had a lovely land to work! It must of helped their heart sing - while plowing fields, cooking, and serving whomever they were indentured to. Such rich history in the state of PA. What a beautiful blue river. The song that comes to mind for me is "Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you - away you rolling river.... ".

Such pretty countryside.

Lovely Wife's paternal grandmother lives in a small town in the east Tennessee mountains and the area looks very much like this. I love it.
