"It's 5 o' clock somewhere"

"It's 5 o'clock somewhere!"

Spring's been such a tease in these parts. Just when we were beginning to shed warm clothing, chill's back in the air. It's not the sun that I miss as much as the lack of activity in these parts due to chilly temps. My husband misses Florida sunshine far more than he thought he would. These sunny images from our earlier trips to Key West are for him. Anna, they take care of the Project Yellow too, don't they :)

I have thought of you so many times, Moi, knowing you've got to be missing Florida's sunshine. But you will learn about Midwestern beauty with the seasons, too. Hang in there.

love both of these shots, the intensity of the colours and the light, ooh that light.

About cameras:
I love my canon cameras - and I have never used nikons. I have nothing against nikons, many of my friends use them and love them. From everything I have read and seen and heard about they are comparable.
I upgraded to the Canon xti because of my familiarity with the controls and features from my Canon Powershot S2 which was my pre dslr camera. Truly that was the only reason I chose one over the other.

The store I bought it from was also very clear that if I didn't like the camera after having used it for two weeks that I could return it.

I found the xti very easy to use and would recommend it for that reason and because it was fairly affordable.

See if you can find a camera store that will offer you the same opportunity to try out the different cameras for a day or a week. There is actually another camera store here that will rent out models for a week.

You will know by the feel.
You will also love how much farther you can push your image making!

I love the second one. The rod iron against the yellow background looks great. I'm really enjoying this series...both doing and viewing.

Ginnie, I like it here...no let me be honest, I LOVE it here. Seasons are just what I wanted. It's the lack of activity in town due to cold that I hate. We have a beautiful riverfront which is practically deserted these days, parks still dont have many people, and chairs are still not out in the open air cafes!!!!! i am dying to do some people-watching here ...............:) My husband, unlike me, misses the sunshine. 2 months in these parts and he's already planning a quick trip to Florida :)

Gawdess, thank you for the help. I appreciate it :)I sure will go around and look if I can find a shop than rents them out.

OK, you love it there, but how I understand your husband... Two months in the grey and white; too much... ;))
Nice rum picture; close to Sloppy Joe's surely...

I love both of them, but the gate is my favorite! I also have a question. How do you get you pics to be normal size and not the small ones? Thanks

Texas Travelers said...

These certainly qualify and I need one of those bar signs.
The gate is really nice. I like the tall cropping.
Good job.

Mine is up. Come visit.
