Our travel-mates

My muse 1

He, like us, was a tourist paying his homage to the group of 22 islands in Lake Superior (Apostle Islands). They (he and his family) were visiting from Europe while we came from the neighboring state. They could barely speak English while that's the only foreign language we speak. But we bonded. Sometimes, the love for exploration proves stronger than the gulf of different cultures and languages :)

While this fellow li'l traveler was absorbed in his own world as we sailed to the sea caves, approachable only by water.

"I didn't even know I loved photography till I acquired the camera : nothing high art here :"

i have wandered along through your blog and i must say this is far more than high art. it is real art. you take wonderfully interesting and technically well done photographs! the light you capture seems always to be golden rather than white and scorching...this in spite of the fact i can see you are often working in the sunlight. well done! i'm glad i came by :)

I like the light in both of them, warm, appealing and interesting shots with the b&w working well in the first photo.

Isn't traveling the best? I love the chance meetings and new sights.
The ride to the caves and the caves themselves must have been a ball.

Sometimes people meet and become lifetime mates. I think that is nice. Your photographs are very nice. I like your writing too.

I published a post about squirrels and other animals and some of the problems they have. I hope you can take the time to read it. That animals suffer and we do not seem to notice seems so sad. Look at my Dances on Sunshine

Great shots!! I love the little boy...he looks like he is just wondering things.

Both portraits are wonderful in their own way. The B & W choice for the top photo is excellent. The boy looks relaxed and curious about the scenery. I often wonder what goes thru children's minds.

Two wonderful shots. I'm not a great fan of black and white, but it's just perfect for that first photo.
