A gilt trip to work :)

Red, blue, and..... These days no matter how early I wake up, there's always light outside.....and by the time I am done with wiping sleep from my eyes, and that mug of coffee finally kicking in... the sun outside is just beginning to bathe all that's beautiful on my way to work, in its shimmering pool. This is my favorite part of the day till it's time for sun to set when I am out with my camera again. So no matter how rushed I am in mornings, I still leave with my camera, hoping I will get a chance to stop and click, and if I do get lucky, it sets the tone for the day....a VERY MERRY tone :) These are from yesterday's "trip" to work :)

“People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us.” – Iris Murdoch

Bar-red! Bar-red! Sunny side up! Sunny side up! I love summer! :) One last look...

The back-lit poppy is my favorite, Moi, as is the quote by Iris Murdoch. Did you ever see Dame Judi Dench in the movie Iris? When I read the quote, I saw and heard Judi Dench saying it! :)

Love the roadside flowers. Looks nice and "homey." A nice welcoming scene when you come home.

Gorgeous shots. I love the first one with the fence and the last one with it's little pod drooping over.

Those are so gorgeous! The bar-red looks like I can reach out and touch it.

PS, do you use a macro lens much? I am on the hunt for one and looking for recommendations.

Love, love, love your gilt trip. I think you live in Paradise. The poppy against the fence is a prize winner. Glad you stopped to capture the day.

You are so good at perspective!
I must make a note to put Bachelor's Buttons and poppies together. The colors are wonderful!
My hubby found a stray poppy blooming amid his garlic the other day. So cheerful :)
I love the morning light too, and yes, the golden afternoons :)
Couldn't we have a great time together with our cameras? I hope you make that trip up here soon!
Your photos of the ethereal poppies are enchanting, and isn't that fence lovely?
Wishing you plenty of magical photo opportunities and ample time to stop, dear Moi!

Lovely shots. Those wildflowers along the fence are simply wonderful; they make me want to wander on down a country road.
