"I grew up in this town, my poetry was born between the hill and the river, it took its voice from the rain, and like the timber, it steeped itself in the forests." .........Pablo Neruda
I may not have grown up in this beautiful valley that I call home now but locals who did, am certain will find a resonating sentiment in Neruda's words.......:) We woke up this morning to find the fog roll in the valley to greet us. It instantly brought back memories of the precious few days we spent in Northwest (remember the move that never happened!!!). I still remember how the ubiquitous fog would fade away oh-so-briefly to offer a glimpse of the houses, the woods, the road ahead and then return even before we could realize that those weren't the figments of our imagination. What a tease! :)Wednesday, July 01, 2009

Beautiful quote, beautiful photos and beautiful flowers. Love those orange and yellows against the foggy background.
the first pic is the killer pic. I absolutely love fogs.. there is this eerieness about them.
Happy July.....Lovely photos :-)
Wonderful quote Moi and the sensous pictures are excellent. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of my life had me dealing with the fog most days. Its beautiful for pictures but day after day gets under my skin. Summer was usually foggy and as soon as everyone had to go back to school, boom...we got our "Summer". Pretty pictures but I have to admit I really don't miss it, even when the temps here get in the 100's. The AC and I become great friends.
What lovely pictures! I need to catch up with your blog. I've been a slacker on mine.
o boy, o boy - the mist :P
yes, the mist..the fog, the bench...the hills, the wildflowers......they all are here :)
They are all my favorites and you have captured them wonderfully!
Well Done!
wow
Oh how I love foggy mornings :) Beautiful photos. They truly capture the feel of the mist.
And those bright and cheery snapdragons...ahh..they look so beautiful against it.
Is that crown vetch on the bank?
Yes it is! I just enlarged the photo for a closer look. I love those masses of pretty pink :)
