As twilight melts..........

As Twilight Melts

"At length the Vision closes; and the mind,

Not undisturbed by the delight it feels,

Which slowly settles into peaceful calm,

Is left to muse upon the solemn scene."

- Wordsworth

Shot on our way from Ohio to Upper Peninsula, Michigan. Beyond towns, the countryside was dotted with farmlands with red barns and silos, hay bales adorning farms and sun on its way to bed, lent them a nonpareil beauty, "melting, minting all to gold".

Yeah, I didn't think that was Florida.

Well, it could have been "Plant City" or something ;)

Hi Moi, Old Willy did have a few nice things to say, not only about daffodils. Lovely shot you have certainly captured the evening mood.

There's a similar hue in this photo and in the previous one. You might be able to spot the gold in the world, Moi.

Hi Moi,
If you don't mind can you please give me some idea about how to get the enlarged image size on the blog page. I use big-size options while uploading snaps, but still it doesnt appear as big as yours, so thought to ask you.

Thanks,
a-x

You are up early....or should I say late? hehehe.

Oh and this shot is so pretty. I love the tones!

What I like about this is that you've taken the usual fields of gold idea and turned it on its head, so to speak. A golden sky, don't see that shade around here that much. Only one day, and that was due to air pollution :-(

I have a close up of a pink hydrangea on my overflow today -- I thought of you and a few others who have said that they like the flower photos I've put on from around Villigen.

Sarad said...

I think the pic would be even more beautiful if it was shot a little earlier.

Very great shot, love the tones, the angle. Wonderful...

Chica, Cienna, and Cali said...

All : Thank u :)

Sarad : I wish , I could have captured the sun itself in the pic, but I guess he was long gone , as clouds blanketed him.....but I'm glad that in your mind's eye u can see it :)
