Swaying leaves

For someone who's shy to sway with abandon, take a leaf out of the palm's book (any puns here are unintended)..this one outside the neighborhood's Dairy Queen's window had me spellbound behind my lens. I must have clicked a dozen odd pics till my husband decided I have gone bonkers and walked out of the place to enjoy his banana split in peace outside. Guess there are times when indulging each other's idiosyncrasies is beyond spousal patience!!! :D

That's a great shot - you were lucky to see it & snap away until you got the one you wanted.

Your patience was certainly rewarded; this is yet another wonderful photograph. Hope hubby enjoyed his banana split!

Love the composition and good eye for capturing the subtle pictures. Patience and a banana split would make my day too.

Su : i know the names of his fav. cars, their history, their makes , and even the sounds their engines make........the parts they contain, the cars he'll supposedly own one day and the others which are too "chicky" for him to ride so he'll buy them for me, the auto-sketches he has gifted me over years whether i want them or not.., the car toys he buys for all the boys back in his B'lore's neighborhood...in short, it's been a jolly good ride with him till date, at times annoying but fun nevertheless :DDD

and why are boys so much in love with their toys!!!! :)

you have very pretty pictures in your blog. What camera do you use?

Oh, by the way, you have been blogrolled.

Sometimes you just have to keep at it until you get the one you want, no matter what your companions might say. I've had both friends and strangers give me odd looks for photographing seemingly random things, over and over. I'm learning to ignore them. :)

ha ha, why does it all sound so familiar, I still remember the lecture about two stroke and four stroke engines, I remember impressing my examiner during my mechanical viva with out of the text knowledge.

Reminds me of the Jungle book, I don't know why...I love the tones!

Nice, quiet shot. I'd never have guessed that you shot it through glass. I'm sure I'd like it even more, though, if I had a yummy banana split.

This kind of thing catches my eye as well.

Love DQ even though I don't go there that often. When I do though, usually get an M&M Blizzard (I grew up on those things) or my new favorite, the "Brownie Earthquake".

Totally hear you on the impatient spouse thing. I try to go out on my own around the village to get the shots, and then go out again later together. :-)

I guess a dozen pics must be his breaking point ;-)
Either that or he just really wanted a banana split...(and now I want one!)

If you were a printmaker, you'd likely draw inspiration from scenes like this one.

It is a compelling picture. I can imagine taking lots of shots of it.

Thanks for stopping at my blog and commenting. I appreciate it a lot.

Beautiful! I don't blame your hubby for not wanting his banana split to melt away!

Some people just can't appreciate it when art is being made I guess.

The colors and patterns would make a lovely fabric! I'm sure your hubby loves your idiosyncrasies right along with your normalitys (is that a word??) :)
He can surely appreciate your creativity :)

I love this! I am a total sucker for shadows.

My husband's patience runs out as well when I have a camera in my hand, especially when we are walking together and next thing he knows, I am 50 yards behind him taking 10 pictures of a rock or something.

He never says anything, but I can just tell.
