My Zen Spot

My Zen Corner-I

We are back from our jaunt to Savannah. It's a charming town but it was a totally rained out weekend for us there. The rain let up for just a coupla hours in two days but that was too little to enjoy the town. We did stroll around, soaking to our bones, trying to make the most of our trip.

Meanwhile it's good to come back home and still have a day to ourselves before the frenetic pace of week catches up with us. I decided to put up my favorite corner of our home here while I sift through a hundred odd photos I took in Savannah all the time trying to save my lens under the umbrella. Hope you all are having a great weekend :)

Hi Moi,

That is a beautiful picture, I will have to show it to my wife as she went back to school today and is quite miserable at the moment.

Cheers Mark

Hi Moi,
Sorry about the washout, it's been unseasonable cool to downright chilly here.
I'm afraid I'm dense about the zen spot - it is inside your home, but you had to shoot it covering the camera so it didn't get wet?

nice corner, moi. it's nice to have these little areas in a home....i have several in mine.... that even if the rest of the house is in chaos, these spots calm me.

very nice. VERY nice!
used a tripod on that one? My camera kinda gives up on me at high ISOs..

I came back from vacation to see that I had forgotten to take my trash out before I left, and now there are mice in the house. So much for my nice corners!

That's too bad about the weather. But this corner has beautiful light, so it's good you're focusing on it. I hope you can find some wonderful shots of Savannah even in the rain.

It feels like a cozy place Moi! What books do you have there? And the bed, is that fabric? Beautiful! Well, rain and water is what you photograph with so much grace, I am sure we'll have nice surprises coming up... :-)

I just got a "blogger award" from Olivier of Evry Daily photo. I'm passing it along to you!

"The 'Power of Schmooze Award' is The Award for bloggers who “effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship".

Normally you should forward to five persons, but I don't believe there is a fine!"

Wow. I remember Patty and I drove into Savannah and it was hot and muggy and by the time we left the reception center we were dripping. But we did cool off downtown in the large squares with the fountains. It is a magnificent city and I didn't even have a camera with me. In those days I seldom used a camera as film processing was a nightmare.

I look forward to your photos.

I also like the photo you showed here. Beautiful.

Awww, that stinks about the rain! Well, you were wishing for it earlier this year, looks like your wishes were finally granted! ;)

I hope you had a good time nonetheless.
