Step up!!!!

Staircase-II

Remember the brick wall in Key West that caught my fancy?? The building fascinated moi enough to explore its darker, underbelly side .....I went behind the building to find this ornate staircase adorning its rather unkempt rear. I knew there are treasures to be found in these bricks and I discovered a few (not to mention those shorts, remember??) ;D

Have a great weekend all :)

P.S. : I have no idea how that white fuzzy distraction at the top right in the pic came by! I'm guessing the faded, paled out bricks looked so in that corner unless someone knows better and can help moi!

I would LOVE to live in the apt upstairs :-)

That white fuzz might be just sunlight reflecting off the old bricks ... I'm sure Picasa or iPhoto can fix it!

Key West certainly seems like a great place to get some wonderful photos. I've really enjoyed all you've put up from there!

True, that's a "moi" angle. This is a stellar combination of lines and patterns, that don't compete but complement. Nice.

Wonderful angle here. I, too, love crawling around, exploring back alleys, industrial areas and "underbellies" and discovering the character of un-prettified spaces.

Very very rare and interesting angle...:)

(The white distraction is cause of the overexposure of that part of the building. Your camera read light at the center of the picture which in this case is the portion below that staircase. As that portion is in shadow, it is little darker compair to the top most part of the building. So camera exposed the shot taking the light reading at the middle portion of the picture and so the upper part got overexposed...That's what I can think as of now, may be there are othre reasons too)

Thanks for visiting my Japanese blog after the war photos. Yes, indeed, I have friends there who were not born when we were there and they send me photos showing me the same places today. I am stunned to see how much progress they have made.

Thanks for visiting Sendai-shi

I'm with everyone else. I'm enjoying the lines, textures, and colors in this photo.

Very interesting to stop and stare at for a bit.

I think a-xpressions is right on the range of tones, and how the top became so bright.

I thought 'moi' liked imperfections :D

Oh she does, sarad, she does...only not the ones she cant understand ....there was absolutley no sun when this onewas hot..it was shot on the west cornerof city at around & :30 Am.....so it could not have been sun....and thats what makes me wonder if my processing it in in Picassa brought this out or is it some phenomenon that I dont understand :)
