"Rear Window" ;D

Rear Window ;D

The Window to Key West.

What does one do when there are no new pics to share? Simple! Dig into the old collection, re-live the times well spent in past and share them here :)

This was the view from the rear window of Key West Light House that gave a glimpse, almost like a teaser, of the beauty that's gonna unfold before us as we schlep ourselves through 88 steps to reach the top. They are pretty considerate folks out there: you get to sport a badge after you have climbed the steps, to announce your achievement to the world :D

And below is one of the several spectacular views of the island from the top. I love the blue ocean merging with the sky in the backdrop. Have a great weekend!!! :)

Moi, I am sitting here with rain coming down and leaves changing color. Your pictures are a total 180 degrees from my current conditions - such a wild difference :) Your first picture makes me want to be a lighthouse keeper!

The colors are so crisp - beautiful!

Yup. on a day when NYC is humid and rainy, you choose to show us how good life can be down south.

Damn it, why aren't all the research labs located in Key West???

I have that movie on DVD ;)

The bottom image almost looks like "the Truman Show" ;)

Terrific shots and it looks like a magical place to visit.
Here it can't decide what it wants to do...spritz rain, blow a little wind or just have a grey sky.
Hope you have a good weekend.

I can tell the houses are quite large and colourful. Love the blue sky!

I like both shots a lot. The top one for the composition with the window and the outside scene, but the bottom one is hard to beat because of the beauty. I love the colors of the houses and on out to the ocean and sky.

I really like how the sky just pops right out of the window. Nice use of light on the door!

Hi Moi,

I've visited Key West twice and enjoyed walking and walking and walking (and shopping and eating and drinking) both times very much. It's time for me to return. Past time, actually.

I have not read The Kite Runner yet though I have it, waiting for me. Thanks for reminding me.

Nice shots Moi, Key West seems like a place unlike any other. Surrounded by water and so vulnerable, yet it thrives.

Thanks for your concern about the California fires.
Fortunately they are not any where near us, but unfortunate for those in Southern California. The Santa Anna winds are so dry and fierce that they drive the fire totally out of control. Much of the terrain where the fires are going is very rugged and difficult to fight. So many people having to be evacuated. Its really scary.
Thanks for your thoughts for fire can happen anywhere.

Perfect exposure. QUite surprising that in a shot with such varied lights nothing is over or under exposed.

Key West is one of the places I would like to visit, another is Marrakech and....

You did give me a wonderful idea - what to do when you've no new photos to post. I will dig through my current photos and put one up so I won't be missing a day.

Thanks!! :)
